Undergraduate Lab and Field Assistants
Robbie Lamb censuses coral-reef fishes in the Bahamas.
Mentoring extends beyond the classroom to engaging undergraduate students in scientific research. During the school year, undergraduates gain mostly data management experience in our lab, both as volunteers and as work-study assistants. During the summer months, selected undergraduates who are experienced SCUBA divers accompany me and my graduate students in our field research on coral reefs. Robbie Lamb (2007), Megan Cook (2008), Emily Pickering (2009), and Wendel Raymond (2010) are among those who have served as field assistants.
